• Depending on the verb form that follows,
the conjunctions όταν, μόλις, αφού may
refer either to an event in the past or in the
future.
• Some conjunctions have more than one
meaning. For example, εφόσον and αφού
can be either temporal or causal. Ενώ can
be either temporal or concessive.
•Contrary to English, in Greek we can use
the future tense in temporal clauses.
Μόλις έρθει, θα του το πω
Μόλις ήρθε, πήγε για ύπνο
Αφού (εφόσον) δε με θέλεις, θα φύγω
Ενώ μ’ αγαπάς, με παιδεύεις
Όταν θα τον δω, θα τον χαστουκίσω
c. temporal clause occuring after the main clause
