• Some participles in -γμένος can drop the -γ-
• Transitive verbs with both active and
passive voice usually form these participles,
but there are some exceptions.
• For irregular passive perfect participles
see list of verbs (appendix).
Use
These participles decline according to
number, gender and case just like the
adjectives in -ος, -η, -ο.
Τhe participle in -μένος, -μένη, -μένο can
modify a noun and it has to agree with the
noun in gender, number and case.
ανεβαίνω ανέβασα ανεβασμένος
κατεβαίνω κατέβασα κατεβασμένος
αρρωσταίνω αρρώστησα αρρωστημένος
δακρύζω δάκρυσα δακρυσμένος
θυμώνω θύμωσα θυμωμένος
πέφτω έπεσα πεσμένος
πεινώ πείνασα πεινασμένος
διψώ δίψασα διψασμένος
μεθώ μέθυσα μεθυσμένος
Ο Σαχίνης είναι πολύ κουρασμένος
και θέλει να κοιμηθεί αλλά η Αγκάθα
δεν είναι καθόλου κουρασμένη και
θέλει να πάει βόλτα
The structure είμαι κουρασμένος has
roughly the same meaning as the present
perfect έχω κουραστεί. H Aγκάθα δεν είναι κουρασμένη

πετάω πετάχτηκα → πετα(γ)μένος / πετα(γ)μένη / πετα(γ)μένο
